Access Control Points

Road Access:

GUIXAR-COMMERCIAL QUAYS

Road access to commercial quays, Arenal, Transversal and Comercio is managed from a building located at the entrance, that hosts facilities both for the Port Police, in charge of the access control, and for the Guardia Civil, in charge of the exit control.

This access consists of two entry and two exit ways with an automatic plate reader system and access control barriers.

Intercom available at these accesses allows communication both with on site Port Police (local operator)as well as with Control Centre Port Police, and so providing a suitable service at any time.

This area has been equipped with large gates, monitored and manipulated from the SIG or from any Port Police computer to permit the entrance of special pieces and also work as an emergency exit.

TRASATLÁNTICOS

Road access to Trasatlánticos quay is provided by a control booth operated 24/7 by Port Police (entry and exit control), with one entry way and one exit way, an automatic plate reader and access control barriers.

BERBÉS-BEIRAMAR

The Fishing Port is equipped with a control booth operated 24/7 by Port Police (entry and exit control), with one entry way and one exit way, an automatic plate reader and access control barriers.

BOUZAS

In Bouzas port area, there are two main control points:

  • One at the entrance of the RoRoTerminal and the Free Trade Zone Consortium, equipped with facilities for the Port Police (entry access control) and Guardia Civil (exit control), both with automatic plate reader systems and access control barriers .

  • One at the entrance to the Repair quays area, with a Port Police control booth (entry and exit control), automatic plate reader systems and access control barrier

 

Pedestrian Access Control Points:

GUIXAR-COMMERCIAL QUAYS

A turnstile access links Comercio quay and Praza da Estrela, becoming th only pedestrian entry-exit access for thie port area. It is equipped with a camera for authorised personnel identification and managed mainly from the Control Centre, among other posts. There are also two card readers working with RFID technology and an interphone system to communicate with the Control Centre.

TRASATLÁNTICOS

Trasatlánticos quay is free pedestrian access except for its restricted security area, controlled by the Port Police at the Control Centre, by a turnstile equipped with a camera for authorised personnel identification, two RFID card readers and an interphone system to communicate with the Control Centre.

BERBÉS-BEIRAMAR

The Fishing Port and Beiramar have several pedestrian control points, with cameras for personnel identification and RFIS card readers .

BOUZAS

No pedestrian access is authorised to the RoRo Terminal.
